Boring rambling = introduction starting NOW
So I finally got myself an account on tumblr to add to the things that keep me from doing something productive, like finally really starting to write my diploma thesis amongst other things. *yay* But I decided having my own tumblr would be good for basically three reasons:
- I can keep up with The Fandom and the awesome tumblrs I stumbled upon over the course of the last few weeks (*waves*) a lot easier.
- I can keep my fangirling out of all the other places I frequent on the internet at least to some extent and such don’t annoy people who don’t care for these things.
- I can use it to practise my english a little bit. Recently I’m more and more aware how crappy my active english really is, especially in conversations of the face-to-face kind where I can’t rely on leo.org to help me retrieve my buried vocabulary or don’t have the time to carefully phrase and rephrase what I actually want to say. So in between all the fandom-related, ineloquent fangirly posts you should expect longer ramblings at least once in a while. Feel free to just ignore them. ;)
I’m not sure I’ve completely gotten the hang of tumblr yet, I guess it’s a “learning by doing”-thing, so if I do anything wrong in the beginning like violating some kind of unspoken netiquette I’m sorry in advance.
Right, that’s all I wanted to say for the moment, carry on!
